Release of the Air Jordan 7
The Air Jordan 7 was released in late 1991. There were similarities between the Jordan 7 and the Jordan 6, but the noticeable difference was the removal of the discoloring rubber. It would exclude the Nike swoosh and the visible air pocket, and incorporated Nike Huarache technology to help with comfort.
Barcelona, here we come
The one and only “Dream Team” (arguably) set foot onto the Olympic spotlight on all cylinders. While Michael Jordan and friends would simply handle all competition during their gold medal run, Michael would achieve his gold medal while sporting his Olympic colorway Jordan 7’s. Unique to these was the number 9 on the shoe, as opposed to 23 on all others.
Release the retro Jordans!
There have been many retro jordan releases for the 7’s. Dates in 2002, 2004, 2006, and 2008 all displayed slightly different variations of these sneakers. In 2008, senegalease cheikh mbacké ordered a custom black and blue colorway for $600. It was 1 of 1.
