Air Jordan 6 (VI)
The Original Air Jordan 6 release
In 1990, Hatfield’s design kept the clear sole from the Jordan 5 and created an easy way of getting the shoes on by the addition of a 2-holed rubber tongue. There also appears to be a disguised “23″ in the side with the 2 facing upwards and the 3 face down. No one really knows if it was intentional or if we are all trying to convince ourselves of false hopes.
“While most remember the VI in the Carmine colorway, as it has gone on to attain iconic status, it was the Black/Infrared colorway that Michael Jordan wore on the grandest of all stages – the NBA Finals. In trouncing the Magic-led Lakers convincingly in just five games, MJ had finally answered his critics, deferring to teammates like Scottie Pippen and John Paxson in crucial moments, all the while cementing his greatness en route to his first of six championships.” (instyleshoes.com)The release of the retro Jordans
The Retro Jordans were released in 2000 and were exactly the same as the originals. However, there seemed to be misleading pictures prior to the release that would suggest otherwise. It turns out the pictures that were leaked were incorrect.
