Original Release of the Air Jordan 2

As with the original Air Jordan 1’s, we can thank Peter Moore for creating a masterpiece. The original Air Jordan 2 debut in 1986 as white and red colorway, and came out in 3 other colors in 1987.



Retro Jordans were released

The retro Jordan 2 came out in both a high top and a low top, and was very stylish. There was no swoosh on them, showing that these were now part of the Jordan brand. Rumor has it that the original molds were stolen, thus forcing Nike to dissect the original Air Jordan 2.

A similar story goes with the release of the 2004 retro version of the Jordan 2. Maybe Nike would have to go do medical school with all these surgical-like recreations of past greatness. Intresting point to make is that these retro Jordans were never made in a black colorway, however some sketches and photos can be found from time to time of the shoes that could have been.
