The Very First Retro Release

The Retro Jordans of the original Air Jordan 1 was released in 1994. They feature less black and more red and white leather. The classic Nike logo is placed on the side and is still as big and bold as the originals back in 1984. This was due to the fact that the Jordan brand had yet to be established. These also had the usual old school air Jordan logo at the ankle as well. The two colorways Retro Jordan 1 has to be the way to go if you want them to be recognized. Their release went very poorly and would even stoop as low as to find them at clearance centers for $19.99 a pair! Of course now these sneakers are worth thousands -  if you get your hands on them.



The Second Release of the Retro Jordan 1

Between 2001 and 2003, they came out again with a bit of a change. They went to patent leather and a nubuck swoosh to replace the traditional leather, which wrapped around the back of the shoe. There were approximately 14 different colorways that were produced this go-around. Add a special retro card and up the price about $15 from the retail price from 1985, and you have a winner
